928: Internet Marketing and Traffic Domination: Gain Confidence, Solve Problems, and Sell High Ticket with Wayne Crowe

Wayne Crowe covers High Ticket Affiliate Sales in this Marketer of the Day episode. Wayne Crowe explains how beginners can stop chasing tiny sales and build a simpler path to high ticket affiliate income. He frames the shift as confidence plus process, where a $7 sale and a $7,000 sale become closer once traffic, follow-up, and offer delivery are in place. His first step is identifying painful problems, such as traffic, technical setup, or list building, then matching the offer to what the prospect says they need. He recommends using proven programs, setters, phone sales teams, and deliverables instead of building every piece alone. Crowe points to email marketing as the engine, citing 27,000 clicks in one day and $30,000 spent on email delivery in a month. He says coaching helped him see what he did not know.

And we're going to talk about how you can stop making it so dang hard on yourself with this internet marketing, building a business, Make Money Online sort of venture, and Wayne Crowe is going to tell us all about how to sell high ticket, how to do it, how he got started doing it, and the various obstacles that may be holding you back. So Wayne, glad to be talking to you.
You too, mate. This is awesome. Yeah, look forward to sharing some gold nuggets.
Yes, and and you are awesome. And as you know, there are many amazing people out there on the internet. And my understanding is that what you have for us today is to tell us all about how to sell a high ticket. That way, you're not chasing all these little sales. That way, you're not putting on all these fires, that way, you can actually build a business that supports your lifestyle that is encouraging and motivating for you that you can keep on building and growing and expanding. So can you tell us if someone says Wayne Crowe, I've never heard of you? I've what I want to know the elevator pitch about what you're about, what how are you unique? How do you stand out? What's the answer?
Good question, my hero, my unique haired boy, I kind of hoped the little guy get the big results, I think that's the best way to explain myself, I hope the person who is now starting with internet marketing or affiliate marketing, and I help them get the results they want as quick as possible. And a big part of that is around high ticket making them realize that you know, we can all go after small $7 sales and think that's the thing to do. Because we can't make those high ticket sales. But making people realize once they got things in place processes in place, and they got the confidence is just as easy to sell a high ticket item, as it is a low ticket, I just got to learn a few skills along the way and get out of the wrong way reading.
And I like what you said there. There's like there's the getting out of your own way aspect. But there's also you i You've heard that that cliche or that saying, Oh, it's just as easy to make that $7 sale as that $7,000 sale. And I remember hearing that so many years ago, I'm thinking, but how is that possibly true. And you just right in there said the secret there is you have sort of the system, the infrastructure in place, right, you have the confidence piece, and you have kind of things like the automatic traffic and the sales system, which is the thing that kind of makes it more of a predictable machine. And so you said that people come to you. And they have maybe already gotten started a little bit with internet marketing and affiliate marketing. But what's the typical situation? Does the does the average person who come to you already have a website? Have they made affiliate sales? Have they established themselves like what's the typical brand new student look like to you.
So the brand new student has kind of done a bit of dabbling and trying to make a bit of money online, if tried to make their way through all the noise and the different things that you hear every day online. And they just feel like they spin the wheels, they can't get that clarity that they need to take the first step forward. A lot of the time we just hear and you know, different message after different message after different message and not getting any results. It's those type of people as to shake them up, give them some quick results, and show that they feel confident and in the right place. And then we want to get them you know, think and write high ticket, let's get you ready thinking about high ticket and realizing it's not as hard as what you think.
I love it. So they have been wading through all the noise that is out there. And and somehow they have found you right, they found you and they're listening to you right now. And so when you need to get their confidence and you need to kind of see them your show them the way and show them that they can make some of these high ticket sales, even just a few to say, wow, it can be different. And what sorts of just objections or excuses do people give you when they have this low confidence? They say I can only sell $7 And you're trying to talk them into having the better lifestyle? What's the answer? How do we get people's confidence increased?
Mustafa, when I speak to Bill, I have a lot of personal students myself when you speak to people. A lot of the time it is just a mindset thing. They you know, they just not. Yeah, it's all down to confidence. And not knowing how to sell it not knowing how to give value to that higher level. You feel like if you're gonna sell a high ticket item, let's say $6,000 You think you have to give so much in it and you have to be earning billions of dollars already. But it's not really it's not really the case. As long as you've got some value to give. Then people can get out of the wrong way and and make those high ticket sales. A lot of the time, you can kind of piggyback on the back of someone else's High Ticket Sales, you let them do most of the work. And that's kind of how I started many years ago make my first high ticket sales as well is letting someone else who's had the results. And they've got the maybe a sales team in place, maybe they've got all the processes in place, they got all the deliverables in place, you know, you can send people to them, no one there'll be looked after, and no one, you'll just make a nice high ticket commission.
I love it. So you're saying that, instead of trying to either fake it till you make it or trying to come up with some kind of credibility, or impressive results of your own, you just say, check out this person who I'm referring to you who who has all of this in place who has these results? Who has all this value. And so to give us an idea of what some of these high ticket offers are like, I know that there's there's so many different high ticket offers. But can you give us like a few examples of maybe like one or two of your favorite type of high ticket offers. That way we can get a clearer picture of what this is.
Yep, so my favorite hotel officer, let's just go back over what you said. He said about faking it until you make it. So a lot of people think you have to earn millions of dollars. And if you haven't, you just have to fake it till you make it not. Not everyone out there wants to you know, there might be on their goal is to earn a million dollars. But a lot of the time, they got to take a lot of small steps. On the way it got to like a lot of people aren't very technical. Okay, so a high ticket offer to them a perfect high ticket offer to them, is taking the technical aspect out of the way. So you do the technical side form, some people might have a problem with traffic. So some of our products, for example, deal with the traffic side, some people, sometimes we teach it, some, sometimes we just do the traffic for them. So to me the perfect kind of high ticket offer. And the way we kind of do it is we basically have such a good program, we can tailor the high ticket around what the customer is telling us. Okay, so if high ticket obviously is best done on the phone, again, if you don't want to do phone sales, you can become affiliate of someone else's program has all this in place. But the best programs to me are the ones that mold around what the customer is struggling with. So if a customer comes to you, or potential client comes to you, and basically says, I'm struggling with A, B, C, and D, and you've got this whole host of products, in what are your high ticket programs, you just give them the four things that are going to help them so it's almost like the perfect, you know, a lot of the time they aren't, I want to make a million dollars. And if you can't solve that, then you can't solve it. A lot of the time, you know if if it's traffic, great, here's the traffic element, if it's the technical side, great, you can have one of my team to put it into place for you. So you really solve a new specific issues that the customers come to you with. You just find those issues, not trying to give them something that you think is what they need. I think the customer always tells you what they need, and then you just fit what you've got around them. That's the way we do high ticket.
That makes logical sense that that seems like that's the helpful way to go. As far as having that conversation, figuring out what they need, where they're stuck. And many times as you you're saying that is traffic, or that is the technical setup of their website and their business. And instead of us saying, here's this big pile of stuff, then you'll probably won't use most of it. You say? Well, you told me that you need 123 and four. So here are these different packages that will solve the exact problem that you said that you had. So now the logic is very simplified. They have these problems. Here's where they're stuck. And you say, now here's the exact things to get you unstuck. So now the conversation is either Well, do you do you really want to move forward and take action and get unstuck? Or do you want to sit there and remain sucker remain where you're at? And so is your niche limited or only in internet marketing and websites and building a business?
And it's predominantly online? Yeah, most of what I do, I've done. Historically, I've done e commerce, I've owned four or five brick and mortars, businesses. I've done a lot of different things. And the absolute best model out there to me is building email lists and affiliate marketing. Nothing else pizza like as you can see, I'm going to shed at the end of my garden and I make millions. When I owned the business, I had seven staff. I had 1000 square foot warehouse. I had a business next door that was 2000 square foot and I just felt like I was babysitting staff. Only the bad ones not the good ones. Whereas now I've got the freedom to do exactly what I want when I want. If I want to sit here and play games all day, I can, you know, it just gives me a whole new level of freedom. So for me, this is what I do now. This is what I do until I retire. I absolutely love it.
You finally found your groove and what is a typical week like for you? Like you said there that you some days you play games and have fun, but as far as your your weekly goals? Are you always on the hunt for some new affiliate offer? Are you saying I want to send X number of email blasts per week? Are you looking at your like your KPIs and your and your numbers, your support staff? What's a typical schedule like for you and what's sort of on your mind every week.
So the the main thing on my mind, most of the time, I'm a tinkerer, I'm gonna change. I love this internet marketing game, it really is. intrigues me, if I don't know something, I kind of want to know it because that is the you know, the journey is the best, best fun, but not actually, you know, fine when you make the money. It's the end result. But it's actually the journey that you go on is the best result. Perfect example is I'm learning I woke up this morning, got up and continued learning a new traffic source source that I left off from last night. So I like learn the nitty gritty, I like to learn, and then teach it. That's why I'm a master something in teaching. A lot of people kind of know the basics and try and get by like that. But I want to know it mastered and then teach my students exactly what to do with massive results. That's kind of what keeps me keeps me going.
tinkering is fun. And the thing that there's all this, like we said at the beginning, there's all this noise, right? There's all these things that you could possibly do anything is searchable on Google or on YouTube. But the problem is, there's not enough time to do all these 500 different things. And so it seems like what you do is you sift through all the noise, and you figure out something that works and you put it to use put into practice, figure out a system, figure out the do's and don'ts. And then you say now that I've refined all this mess into these logical step by step building blocks, now you can see my results. And you can see how I put this in and get this out. And then now you can sort of replicate my success. And it's a it's fun to think about about this journey. And I want to kind of dive into your past slight bit, because I'm sure like we said, there's many people out there who are still stuck in that messy phase, and they haven't got it all dialed in figured out or find. And so how long did it take you to get from? Just starting out? You said you did like e Commerce building a business? What was that journey like? And how long did it take to get from just spinning your wheels? It was so confusing into you had some real success.
Wow, this is thinking back I've kind of tinkered online pretty much all my life I've kind of done these paid to click sites and all these things we all do when we start out. And then it all really started in in the fact you just have a first my daughter, she's now 16 coming on 17 And I always had that kind of drive when I was younger apart from it was in sports, I don't do boxer and all sorts of sports when in one of the armed forces and got discharged, medically discharged from from there, I couldn't do my sport. So I had all this motivation I kind of went a bit wayward, got into drink, and I got into smoking and part in that I'd never done before. I just lost my way. And then with my daughter. Soon as my daughter came, I had a minimum wage job working in a factory making bloody painting leads, okay, looking at painting leads for eight hours, 12 hours for seven years, rotating shifts, it was horrible. Just not being able to do anything like holidays, or do stuff or what to do with the family, the kids, my parents. And I started getting the motivation back but instead of sports, and it was business, I started to think there's a there's got to be a way out of this like I remember I put in for a pay rise after being there about six years put in for a new job. I was the ideal candidate. And then time passed, I was quite an introvert back then time passed. And the job got given someone else I went out to the boss and said, Hey, come out and get a job exam. We never really received your application. I thought right so I'm basically going to be stuck in the same role for as long as I stay and I thought I can't I just can't do that. So I started to work out ways of doing things. So I started dropshipping for Lucas electricity supply and they had a TV stand. Best Selling TV stand on Amazon and this this supplier I negotiated dropshipping with them And they gave me such a good price. I could sell tons of units. So I started selling TVs and all sorts of things. Then I got into SEO. So this was back when se nuke was a thing and link building was easy. And I own the search results for Calvin Klein boxer shorts, believe it or not, I made tons of money selling Calvin Klein boxer shorts, I made 1000s per day somedays strange, strange story. And then I started to have a bit of success in the factory. And I thought why I can't just quit my job. And it took me about four years probably to get things up. And I thought, well, I can't just quit my job and earn good money now with the affiliate, I can't just quit actually became a taxi driver. Whilst I was a taxi driver, I got to speak to a customer and he I was telling him, I do this ecommerce thing. Yeah, and I'm getting good at it. And I can do, I'm only doing taxi drivers backstock kind of thing. And I got speak to him, and he just closed his website down. So we became partners, and I built a big ecommerce store. From that we held the stock in a big warehouse, and loved it, I'd done all the marketing for it turned into a multi million pound ecommerce operation. And from that, I went into brick and mortars business, I actually bought a gym, I learnt loads of business skills. For now I had about 6070 staff. And I just thought to myself, There's got to be, you know, instead of doing the marks on which I love, and I was HR Manager, which I hated. Okay, so, you know, just follow place one job over time with another. And I looked at the thing that kept the ecommerce business going. And it was list building, it's always emails, always emails. So it's something here. There's something here with this list, building this affiliate market. And so eight, nine years ago, I stopped that I stopped everything dead. I ended up with tons of debt. And I went into email marketing, built massive, massive lists. I've seen, I don't even know 27,000 clicks from emails in one day. Not many people can do. I spent $30,000 delivered emails in a month. And then I kind of did it underground. I did an underground job weren't out there in the open. This is very underground. And then I thought I had this kind of moment where about four or 545 years ago, I lost my little brother to cancer. And something in me was like that I need to go on this journey. Now I need to develop myself as a person and all the things I'm scared of that stage I was still quite an introvert I couldn't even answer the phone to people, let alone do something like this. And to from there, I started developing and helping people like going out of my way to try and help people because this game can be very spammy and scammy with those, you know those people that hire a car for the weekend and say, hey, look what I bought and all that kind of crap. And from there, I've gone in this journey, the last five years to be able to have done a webinar webinar took two hours earn six figures, and that was December 2021 have done and just with high ticket, I literally done a webinar, I took the phone calls afterwards, because I wanted to learn I did a phone calls. And I made 200,000 Just from like testing things. And I've gone on this whole journey again, it's not just about it's not just about the money, it's about the journey, you go on with this game, you know, it really does change you as a person turns you into maybe someone you never thought you could be, which is the awesome thing about his game. So that was that was a long story.
But that was a good story. You live like six or seven different lifetimes. And it's a reassuring story, because we're all when we're in the moment, maybe we're stressed about our current situation, right? We say, you know, I can't see the future. I don't know where this will lead to I don't know if my business will catastrophically fail. And so there's all the all this fear, because you don't know that it will work out in the ends. But then you will look back and laugh and you'll say man, I went through such a zigzag process. And I had this job where I learned this skill that I took to this other job. And then I met this person, and then that led to this other opportunity. And sometimes you kind of fail forward and sometimes it's fast and it's scary. And sometimes you even hit a dead end like you said that you got to the point where you got to the HR job and you said okay, well now I'm at analysis, all of this saying yes to these opportunities and taking the calculus lated risks has led me here. And then you said, Okay, instead of just completely giving up, you said, Well, what's good about this? Right? What do I like about this business? And what have I learned? And you said, well, that led to the AHA, about the email list. And then you were able to take that from thing after thing. So what I get a lot from your story is that it's never a waste. If you think that you're in a job you don't like or in a situation or in a business, that maybe in the moment, it's not where you want to be, it's setting you up for something better. And that might be in the case of figuring out what doesn't work, or figuring out what kind of skill that you can apply, or maybe even discovering what your weaknesses are. And then that can lead to the realization of, okay, I need a team. And I need someone to take over, for example, the phone call side of things. And so What's also great about your story is this entire time you said that you you've lacked the confidence, but you've you've been a hard worker, right? And you've said, I'm not just gonna give up, I'm gonna just kind of solve this problem. So what would you say to someone that is listening to your story, and it's very impressed with it, but also has the lowest self esteem and says, you know, you've done all those things. But you know, I can't do it. And I'm ready to give up. What would you say to someone? Or even better? What would you have said to yourself 10 or 20 years ago, and when you were about to give up? If you had a time machine, you can send that message back into the past? What would you say to say to younger, Mr. Wayne, don't give up?
That's a brilliant question. And the big, the big thing for me is that there's a few things it would have been enjoy that enjoy the journey and get excited about who you can become. But the other thing that I never did, I always saw it as an ego thing. I don't need help, I'll work all out myself. And was always my attitude until actually a year ago. So a year ago, my attitude change. Now, I spent a lot of money on coaching, a lot of money on coaching. And my first ever coach, I spent 20 minutes on a phone call with him and changed everything in 20 minutes realizing that I didn't know what he didn't know. And so I would go back and tell myself, and I would tell myself, get with the right people. I was always under the assumption I'll do this myself. So I don't know if that's a man thing or an ego thing. I don't know what it is. Or maybe I was just so much of an introvert. I couldn't speak to me it was a big thing. But I basically tell myself to buckle in and enjoy the ride. I think that's probably what the time was of because now I'm so if someone's thinking to give up that given up, you just have to see it. Like, you have to see problems as a good thing. You can't see problems. As a bad thing. I always say, whenever I speak to my, my students or people I know it's like I like problem. If I'm having these problems, that means other people are having these problems. If other people having these problems, more likely means they're going to give up. And entrepreneurialism is all about solving problems. So once you realize you're going to have a lot of problems, okay? You've just got to use whatever it is the creativity or the intelligence, you've got to work them out. And as you're going through it, it feels like a quagmire could be stressful, yada, yada, yada, all this stuff that everyone at every stage goes through. But when you solve those problems, and you see the outcome, I think that really is the buzz of entrepreneurialism, or one of the buzzers is, wow, I can do this. Like sometimes the answer is very simple. And you either find out yourself working the problem may well you find someone that speeds up.
That's a great insight. The entrepreneurial buzz comes from learning to love problems. Because the the it's tempting to have the mindset of just giving up and saying, Oh, I've got this problem. I don't know how to make this website, build this business, get this traffic, send this email, whatever the problem is, and you can choose to give up and avoid your problems. But then that won't get you to where you want to go that your those problems are sitting between you and your goals. And so if those problems are unavoidable, then you have one of two choices. You can either choose to avoid or hate or cower from your problems, or you can learn to love your problems. And it seems like for you the key to loving your problems is to know that other people have the same or similar problems. And these people need your help to get their problem solved. So you get their traffic websites or operations or money problems figured out so they need your help and so on. As far as someone tapping into this problem solving mindset, this entrepreneurial buzz when they asked you for help with high ticket offers, and they want to learn from you about what the processes were just in our last few minutes of our conversation, but what's kind of the overall step by step system without getting too deep into it? If someone says, Okay, I want to figure out this high ticket affiliate game, what do I need to do moving forward? What are sort of the steps in my future
and the steps for me, so if we talk about the steps, I went through the steps for me are realized and identifying people's problems and judging if there's a big enough market and market market for them. And if there's a big enough market, and Shiv you have been through them problems and see if you can help those people. So all these problems, you go through, and you either work out or you get coaching yourself, other people are going to have them problems. Okay, so that is basically what high ticket high ticket 90% of the time is normally a coaching, or training a one on one coaching, a group coaching or some form of advanced training. So, again, it's part of the journey, I suppose part of the entrepreneurial journey is going through the pain, going through the problems getting a coach to get you past the problems, and then teaching other people how to solve them problems. And once you've done that, once you've helped people solve the problems, a lot of the time, it's just down to traffic. Like if you can send traffic to a high ticket affiliate offer as long as it's a good offer, you can actually make a crap ton of sales yourself. You know, there's a whole process you have to do you have to learn how to sell high ticket, which I paid a coach for. And the difference is phenomenal. So yeah, I would say, going through this journey, you actually learn how to sell high ticket and how to put it into practice by solving the problems you have had which other people are going to have
it what are the pieces because you said that there was kind of identifying the problem. Having a mentor we've mentioned, like traffic email list is like a website and sales team and a tech team part of that as well.
Yep. So normally, if you want to build one yourself, okay, if you want to build a high ticket yourself, you'd need sales forces, you'd probably need setters, people that can get people on calls and follow up with people, you'd need telephone sales staff, you'd need to create the high ticket product again, obviously one on one, coaching is time limited. And you could bring build a training portal, depends what market you're in. But for us as teaching people how to do traffic, teaching people how to sell high ticket, teaching people how to leverage our high ticket and getting themselves out of the wrong way. So there's a lot of moving parts in high ticket business. So sometimes the best thing you can do find someone like us that have done it don't have done all the parts, and you learn the 5% that you need to learn to get people to it, and then have them take care of the other 95%. And you just make the High Ticket Sales without most of the real hard work
without making it super hard on themselves without reinventing the wheel. And, and by not falling into the trap of being an arrogant man who refuses to stop and ask for directions, right? If you're stuck, there's no shame in saying, you know, I've been I've been trying it for so long on my own. And I've makeup being way too hard on myself and making every mistake there is to make and spending so much time and then after I spent all this time making the mistakes, then the whole market changes right then this Google rule or that Facebook rule are this solo ad source dries up or now this or an hour, Calvin Klein boxer shorts is now the thing I don't rank for now I need to go for something else. So it's like you might run out of money, patience, time, and choices, if you are low confidence, but high arrogance. And it's time to make a shift in that mindset that you were mentioning before. And just admit that there are some things that you don't know that you don't know. And you can ask for help. And just focus on there's so many things you could do with just focus on the you said that 5% That will get you to where you want to go. And then your business can maybe become sort of a feedback loop and sort of grow with you. You did this little experiment, do the proof of concept created something, saw some results, try something else. talk to different people solve their problems, and then it's a it's an exciting, uphill onward adventure that someone is on. And so if someone says, Man this sounds like some something a train, I want to hop on, right and I want to figure out This whole high ticket thing, and I want to contact Wayne and his team, what's the next step for them? Is there like a website or an offer? Or a way to contact you? How do they move this idea forward?
There is, the best way to do it is to unfold this for me. The best way to do it is we'll put up a link or something, we'll put up a link and they can click on the link or join our Facebook group, which is all SP Academy. We're consistently done live trainings and things inside there to help people.
And what's what's that Academy name again?
Oh, when SP Academy,
ol SP Academy. Oh, fantastic. And then as we're wrapping up and winding down our conversation, we talked earlier about some of these aha was that you had a when you were up and coming and figuring out a mentor, but is there and AHA you had in figuring out this whole high ticket processes or something that maybe took you way too long to figure out as far as establishing the business moving forward.
And the thing that I kicked myself for consistently, is not doing it sooner. Not doing it soon. It's the easiest way to make the you know, we all want bigger money. We all want to help people the best we can you want the bigger money, high ticket, you want help people the best, you can't help someone when they've paid you $7 Like you just can't. So to really help someone, you've got to charge bigger money to give them your full attention so that you can really help them out. So I'd say those two things are big things.
I like that a lot. It's tempting to charge that low ticket. But the downside that no one talks about is that low ticket low price means low amount of help and in order to deliver the help that's needed in many different ways. You need to have the higher price that we can deliver the higher value and so we were talking with winning crow from O L SP Academy on Facebook. Thank you Wayne for telling us about your backstory and giving us this high ticket advice. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for watching. Bye
